About me
Hello, I'm David Minor
Clinical counsellor (RCC) and Registered Social Worker (RSW)
Growing up I always tried my best to be a good kid and do what was expected of me, but despite my best efforts I made a lot of mistakes. I fell into the wrong crowd in high school, and struggled with anxiety and addictive behaviours throughout my twenties that were damaging to myself and others.
I didn't want to go to counselling because I didn't think it would help. Ironic right? I thought that I could do it on my own, and was embarrassed to tell others about my struggles. Eventually I did get help and it radically improved my relationships with myself and others.
When I started working as a counsellor I saw how so many young men were struggling, and how they often didn't feel comfortable in a counselling setting. I felt called help young men find their identity and purpose, coming alongside them to work together towards a better future.
